Headquartered in Plymouth, MN, Revo Brands mission is to ignite growth in enthusiast and mission critical brands through superior innovation, design, and marketing. Currently, Revo Brands houses two core brands: Real Avid and Outdoor Edge.

Real Avid designs, develops and supplies innovative accessories for the outdoor enthusiast. With a focus on the do-it-yourself (“DIY”) segment of the shooting accessories industry, Real Avid has built a reputation for premium, high-quality cleaning and tool accessories built with the end consumer in mind. Since its founding in 2008, Real Avid has experienced rapid growth resulting from a relentless focus on exploiting existing market gaps while also creating entirely new product categories. Real Avid’s consistent introduction of new, differentiated products commands significant loyalty from consumers and retail partners nationwide.

Outdoor Edge, acquired in November 2021, designs and markets cutlery and hand tools for outdoor enthusiasts and professional tradesmen. Founded in 1988, Outdoor Edge is known for its diverse portfolio of patented, award winning, performance-driven knives and tools that consumers have come to know and trust.

The New Revo Brand Group, LLC d.b.a. Real Avid platform transaction closed on October 30, 2020. Along with management, Clearview invested equity from Clearview Capital Fund IV, LP. and its affiliates.

Real Avid represents the second platform acquisition under Clearview’s Vertikal Brands (“Vertikal Brands”) strategy to invest in and build “mini platforms” in large sub-segments of the broader outdoor industry to maximize upside while maintaining ultimate flexibility. Clearview partnered with the Vertikal Brands team to execute this strategy, which includes former executives of Battenfeld Technologies, Inc. (“Battenfeld”), a Fund II portfolio company, acquired by Clearview in 2012 and subsequently sold to the company now known as Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ Global Select: SWBI) in December 2014.
