Clearview Capital Announces New Employees, Promotions

Paul Caliento, Principal

OLD GREENWICH, CT, NOVEMBER 17, 2006—Clearview Capital, LLC of Old Greenwich, CT is pleased to welcome to our team Paul Caliento, Principal; Brad Simpson, Controller; and Amanda Birnbaum, Director of Marketing.

Paul joins Clearview from Flackman, Goodman & Potter, PA, a regional audit, tax and consulting firm, where he was the lead partner in charge of M&A Transaction Advisory Services. Over the last eight years, Paul directed the accounting and tax due diligence in more than 100 acquisitions and divestitures and provided business consulting services in a variety of sectors including manufacturing, distribution, health care and business-to-business services.

His work was focused primarily on advising private equity funds and strategic buyers on all aspects of transactions. He began his career at KPMG, and from 1993-1997 was VP of Finance at a private equity backed, middle market manufacturing and distributing company, Grobet File. Paul is a CPA and graduated with a BA in accounting and marketing from the University of Rhode Island.

Brad Simpson, ControllerPrior to joining Clearview, Brad worked for Palmeri Fund Administrators, Inc. in Fair Lawn, NJ, where he was an Accounting Supervisor and Client Relationship Contact. Brad was responsible for the accounting, reporting and administration of several private equity funds. He managed all communications between his assigned private equity fund clients and their investors and also supervised a team of staff accountants.

From 2001-2003, Brad provided administrative support for The Center for Mobility Services, which is the employee relocations department of Ernst & Young, LLP. He reconciled relocation expense accounts for the firm’s domestic employee transfers.

Brad earned a B.S. in accounting from Ramapo College of New Jersey, where he was the President of the Ramapo College Accounting Club and a member of the Delta Mu Delta National Honor Society in Business Administration. Brad lives in Wyckoff, NJ.

Amanda Birnbaum, Director of Marketing
Amanda brings 10 years of experience in marketing and graphic design to the Clearview team. Previously, she was Director of Graphic Design for Not Traditional Media, Inc. in New York City. Amanda also worked on a consulting basis with a variety of clients including AOL, Viacom, Revenue Science and the Internet Advertising Bureau.

Amanda started her career at CNN Sales in New York City, where she spent six years in the sales marketing department. She is a graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, with a B.A. in English Writing. Amanda lives in Stamford, CT, with her husband Adam.

Matt Rumilly Promotion

Through his hard work and dedication to the firm, Matt Rumilly has recently been promoted to Vice President of Clearview Capital, LLC.

Matt joined Clearview in 2002 and has worked on a wide variety of projects from acquisitions to portfolio company improvement. Matt previously started and managed a successful business affiliated with Vector Marketing Corp., and interned at Clearview while in school. Matt holds a BS in Finance, summa cum laude, from the University of Connecticut.
